Course Aims and Objectives 
To improve self-expression in written English
To practice English speaking, listening, and reading skills
To explore the meaning and uses of diaries

Course Content
Classwork will include pair and group discussions about diaries, study of English words and expressions often used in diaries, writing games and exercises, and introductions to specialized diaries such as travel diaries and nature journals. Students will also write personal diary entries during and after class.
 
Information for Students
Diaries are usually for the writer him/herself, and therefore correct grammar is not as important as self-expression. Please donft worry about mistakes. I hope students will feel relaxed enough to share some of their writing with classmates, but personal entries will be read only by the teacher.

Textbook/Materials
Students should bring a binder, such as a gring file,h and notebook paper to use as a diary and to hold materials distributed in class. No textbook.
